The Diverse World of A Middlehammer Tale

The Amber Throne

Deep in the ancient forests of the Wood Elves stands the Amber Throne, created by the gods in the elder days to grant wisdom and understanding to their children.

The throne granted the Elves visions of the future, but as Chaos spread and the world grew dark such visions led only to sorrow and madness. It has been many centuries since an elf sat upon the throne.

That was, until today. What will your hero see when he braves the wrath of his people, and perhaps even the gods, for a glimpse of his destiny?

Shrine of the Ancestors

Deep within the mountains, at the heart of the Dwarven realm stands one the most sacred of all temples. Home to priests who were old even when the High King was but a child.

Here the worthy might commune with the spirits of the ancestors and learn the secrets of the world. Yet not all secrets are a boon and sometimes the dead can ask too much of the living. Still, honour is all…they must be heard.

The Warlock's Tower

This place is forbidden, all know it – yet still it calls. The nagging voice in the back of your head that was once a whisper is now a gutteral roar, a demand that can no longer be resisted.

A fire can be seen burning through the open doorway, offering the promise of warmth and shelter from the unnatural storm. At what cost, though? It matters not. Your legs are no longer your own to command – you have been chosen and must obey.

Have an idea for a backstory or setting? Share it with us!

We will be constantly producing new art and new themes over the next 6 months, as you paint your armies, model your terrain and generally get ready for war.

If you’d like what we do to reflect what you’re doing, that might be possible. If you want to see your imagination brought to life then you can tell us what regions your warlord hails form, or is exploring, and we might have something that fits. Why not talk to us on social media?
