Hi I'm Matt currently based in Burton but regularly travel for many a 6th edition event all over the UK.

Been into the hobby for nearly 30 years now and fantasy has always been my first love, the lore, the characters, the races it's always been hands down my favourite game.

Mainly though I do love a good tournament and my army will be a lean mean fighting machine of Dark Elves that I've carefully crafted and curated to actually win games pretty effectively despite everyone telling me they are a crap army.

Usually I can be found playing some flavour of Chaos but I'm starting to branch out to other armies since returning to my favourite edition.

Hi all fellow hobbist!

my name is Marco, i live in Italy and i am into this hobby since '98 (tilean white dwarf, number 6 in italy), i collected and painted on and off in all these years.

It's been a while since i painted something but the recent revival of mordheim in our community and the latest news on the old world got me a bit nostalgic of my favorite army ever, the dawi.

i have lot of dwarfs from the metal ones of 5/6th ed to the recent ones ( i play also aos, 40k and mordheim) so i decided to pick this opportunity to finally finish what i have, basically the regular dwarfs for my Barak Varr army and the army of my heart and dreams, the mighty slayer army from Storm of chaos (best army ever made).

in the next days i will open the topic and start painting, my first pledge will be a 30 slayers unit that i have to re-paint and rebase (i will keep the 20 mm on and use movement trays if the 25 mm is needed.)

keep working and good luck!

Hi all

Dave, Bristol based. Swapped from Warhammer to Kings of War after the Old World blew up.

Builder & painter of armies, rather than actually being any good at the game! Generally known for painting armies brown, quickly and using lots of weird stuff from poundland! 😉

I've lots of rambling hobby posts over on the Kings of War forum (same username) if anyone is bored enough to see what you can do with, for example, ping-pong balls, toy boats from ebay & halflings!

https://www.kowforum.com/

Doing an Abyssal Dwarf army at present with an eclectic mix of stuff (more duergar than big hat vibe) so random stuff to follow.

Dave

Hello everyone, pleased to be taking part.

I will build a big hordes of chaos 6th edition army book army, and play 7th rules with it. Though I’ll likely use them for other games/editions also. I’ll also be writing fluff and making related terrain.

Hello, i'm Felipe and i'm from Colombia.
I own a small hobby shop and have been in this hobby for almost 20 years. I never got to play fantasy in a propper manner but at the time i had a small bretonnian army (which intimidated me a whole lot when i sat down to try to paint them hahaha) and a much bigger High Elves one. I remember (barely) playing a campaign in 7th ed which was a whole lot of fun and with those memories and a whole lot nudging from a friend I'm starting to collect fantasy minis again but this time with 6th edition in mind.

So now i'm starting a Hordes of Chaos army and see how things go from here.

Cheers!

Hi My name is Matthew or "Street the Art Guy". I reside 30 yards from Borisville but by the grace of the Gods, John McDonnell is my MP. That's as West in London as West goes. In one direction THE city, in the other - it's a short walk to farmland.

I was born in the suburbs, into the agony of hope. I was born on a Friday. On the same day in 1974 that Richard Bingham, 7th Earl of Lucan, disappeared.

It was the same day that Japanese Manga author and writer Masashi Kishimoto was born.
In November 1974, Democrats made significant gains in the U.S. Congressional mid-term elections, as the Republican Party suffered losses over the Watergate scandal.

In November 1974, Ron Defeo Jr murdered his parents and four brothers and sisters in their family home in Amityville, Long Island, NY.

In November 1974, the United Nations general assembly granted the Palestinian Liberation Organisation observer status; terrorist bombs blew up pubs in Woolwich and Birmingham and former Chief of Staff of the I.R.A. Sean MacBride won a Nobel Peace Prize.
'Everything I own' by Ken Boothe was the UK number 1 single.

Then came toy soldiers. Then girls. Then being Rock and Roll squib. Then work. The soul-destroying day job. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning football. Being the only player who never had "trials".

The office blocks' sick yellow glow dulling the stars. Following tacked-orange roads home, from the grey neon of the city to the scattered glitter of the suburbs. Then toy soldiers again.

Then poor health. multiple organs getting bored of my shit and good doctors saving my life.

Now living in time I shouldn't have. Providing this community with cheap art in difficult times for everyone, and painting Olderhammer Norse Dwarfs. Fuck all those opposed.

Been so long since I was in a forum I can't even remember how it works.

I can't promise I'll post often - but I welcome questions, please don't be deterred by me being grumpy.

I am a dwarf after all.

All my love,

Matthew (Mafu)

Hi it's James here from Black_Fire_Pass,

Bit of a late entry here due to some unforeseen circumstances of a back injury! Been into Warhammer for years! like most people my age drifted away from the hobby but found out in 2020 I had a lot of time on my hands and with the news of the Old World Returning ... (Still waiting) I would revisit my passion I had in my teens and 20's. I have a MASSIVE pile of "opportunity" and I hope in the coming months to be able to share what I have with you and in the process get a "Small" Dogs of War Army painted for mine and yours pleasure.

Please feel free to give me a follow on Instagram and I look forward to chatting with you all.

Gott mit uns!

(bit of a Sabaton Fan! 😊)

James
